About Me
Japanese bilingual/bicultural fitness & wellness & education enthusiast born in Tokyo but raised in the surrounding suburbs of Chicago and New York City. Strong advocate for products that foster personal and/or professional growth and firm believer that products and services should be created with a customer-centric approach.
With background in trust & safety, digital marketing, sales operations, customer service, tutoring, and coaching, one might wonder how I ended up wanting to be a product manager.
Product managers are the only roles in a company that have the opportunity to work on a product from discovery all the way to scalability. This means they must look at the product through various standpoints with various stakeholders at various points of the product life cycle. They must be empathetic and open-minded, but remain rational and logical, and guide the team, all the while remembering to focus on resolving user pain points. I was drawn to this.
My past roles have all taught me the importance of approaching problems from a user or client mindset. Empathy, open-mindedness, and communication is my strong suit. I was able to learn and apply many prioritization methods in the CareerFoundry Product Management Program that helped to cement my understanding of how an organization should make decisions.
I’m by no means a seasoned product manager…yet, but I’m confident that my skills and passion will be a great asset to organizations and my mindset of you either succeed or you learn will help propel me to be an ever-evolving trustworthy product manager.
