Development Phase

Ideation Session & Functional Requirements

With the help of Miro (digital collaboration platform) and three friends, we came up with ideas for new features using methods such as mindmapping, brainwriting, and dot voting.

With the ideas we came up with, I created functional requirements to define what the solution should do. Also, supplemental questions were added to some of the requirements to give us a better understanding of how each requirement is going to be executed.

Product Requirement Document (PRD)

Before starting the development of the new feature(s), I created a 2-page product requirement document which explains the following:

  • Context

  • Product Principles

  • Explanation of the Problem

  • Research Findings

  • Explanation of the Audience

  • Solutions & Success Criteria

  • Assumptions & Risk

  • Timeline

  • Budget

Wireframing & User Testing

With the help of Balsamiq, a wireframing tool, I then created low-to-mid fidelity prototypes of the proposed features.

And conducted user testing with Google Meet.

After the first round of user testing and receiving feedback from users, I touched up on the prototypes and conducted A/B testing with a new set of users to check the effectiveness of the new prototypes.
